Hydraulic hose for excavators, skid steers, tippers, tractors, forklifts and farm machinery, sold by the metre, plus stainless hydraulic tube. How to pick a hydraulic hose

  • Size (ID): measured as a dash size, so -06 is a 3/8" inside diameter. Match the old hose, not the fitting.
  • Pressure rating: 1-wire (1SN/R1), 2-wire (2SN/R2) and spiral (4SP/4SH) hoses handle increasing working pressures. Never fit a lower-rated hose than the original.
  • Temperature and fluid: standard hoses suit mineral hydraulic oil. Check the rating for biodegradable oils, fuel or high-heat jobs.
  • Length: measure the overall length including fittings, with the hose laid straight.

How do I measure a hydraulic hose?

Lay the hose straight and measure the overall length from the end of one fitting to the end of the other. Match the inside diameter (dash size) printed on the old hose.

What's the difference between 1-wire, 2-wire and spiral hose?

More reinforcement means a higher working pressure. Always replace like for like or higher, never lower.

What's the minimum length I can buy?

Hose is sold by the metre in the shop. In the Hose Builder you can choose cut lengths, with a 1 metre minimum charge.

Can you make up a hose for me?
